Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.22(a)(2): Floor(s) of workroom(s) were not maintained in a clean and, so far as possible, a dry condition: A. Charging Deck: On, or about, October 8, 2014, the employer failed to develop and/or implement adequate housekeeping procedures to remove dirt and debris that had accumulated on floors. The dirt and debris consisted of particles that were generated and/or disbursed as trash was taken from the tipping floor and dropped into combustor charging chutes. B. Boiler House, Condenser Room and Battery Room: On, or about, October 15, 2014, the employer failed to maintain the floors in the condenser room and battery charging room in dry condition. Water accumulated on the floor around the turbine switchgear, a 125v DC panel board and other equipment in the condenser room. Water also accumulated on the floor around batteries and charging equipment in the battery room. The water in both rooms backed-up from a blocked floor drain in the battery room.
