29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i): The employer did not provide adequate training to ensure that the purpose and function of the energy control program was understood by employees: P&W Painting Contractors, Inc. - Toledo, Ohio: On or about September 24, 2014, the employer did not ensure that employees who maintained the Pangborn shot blast machine were trained in the skill required for the safe application, usage, and removal of energy controls. Employees were not trained to follow energy isolating steps when entering the machine to retrieve parts.
