29 CFR 1910.23(c)(1): Open-sided floors and/or platforms four feet or more above adjacent floor or ground level were not guarded with standard railings (or equivalent) and toeboards: The employer did not ensure every work platform was effectively guarded. Employees were required to stand on the Old Shear box to perform servicing operations, which exposed employees to a 10 foot fall hazard. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 903.19(d).
