29 CFR 1910.23(c)(1): Open-sided floors and/or platforms four feet or more above adjacent floor or ground level were not guarded with standard railings (or equivalent) and toeboards: Note: Toeboards are only required when persons can pass, there is moving equipment or there is equipment with which falling materials could create a hazard. a) Forming, on or about 9/19/14: 521 Hub had an open sided floor that was not guarded to prevent employees from falling 4 feet 3 inches. b) Forming, on or about 9/19/14: 522 Hub had an open sided floor that was not guarded to prevent employees from fall 4 feet 3 inches. c) Forming, on or about 9/19/14: 531 Hub had an open sided floor that was not guarded to prevent employees from falling approximately 4 feet 3 inches. d) Forming, on or about 9/19/14: 533 Hub had an open sided floor that was not guarded to prevent employees from fall 4 feet 5 inches. e) Roof, on or about 9/15/14: 52 Fan platform, 4 feet 2 inches above the roof was not provided with a standard railing along the open sides. f) Roof, on or about 9/15/14: #68 Core Block Cooling, platform 4 feet 7-1/2 inches above the roof was not provided with standard railings along the open sides. g) Under Tank 52, on or about 10/2/14: Open sided floor near the drain shoot was not provided with a standard railing. Employees exposed to a fall hazard of 9 feet 6 inches. h) Below 47 Tank, on or about 10/2/14: Open sided platform was not provided with a standard railing. Employees exposed to a fall hazard of 6 feet 8 inches. i) Decorator Room, Robot Area, on or about 10/3/14: Work platform 4 feet 5 inches above the floor was not provided with a standard railing along the open side.
