29 CFR 1910.37(e): Employers must install and maintain an operable employee alarm system that has a distinctive signal to warn employees of fire or other emergencies: (a) Southern Foods Group, LLC Dba Dillon Dairy at 5512 Leetsdale Dr., Denver, CO 80246: On and before 9/13/11, the employer did not install and maintain an operable employee alarm system that has a distinctive signal or horn to warn employees of fire or other emergencies. This condition exposed employees to a fire or emergency hazard. (b) Southern Foods Group, LLC Dba Dillon Dairy at 5512 Leetsdale Dr., Denver, CO 80246: On and before 9/13/11, the employer did not install and maintain an operable ammonia alarm system that warns employees of an ammonia release. This condition exposed employees to inhalation hazards of ammonia. Abatement Note: Abatement certification is required for this item (see enclosed "Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet").
