29 CFR 1910.303(b)(7)(iv): Electrical equipment had damaged parts that may adversely affect safe operation or mechanical strength of the equipment, such as parts that are broken, bent, cut, or deteriorated by corrosion, chemical action, or overheating. (a) Engine bay: A light switch cover plate was broken at one corner exposing employees to inadvertent contact with the conductors inside the box. (b) Garage: A receptacle cover plate was broken with half the cover missing exposing employees to inadvertent contact with the conductors inside the box.
