29 CFR 1910.151(b): In the absence of an infirmary, clinic, or hospital in near proximity to the workplace which was used for the treatment of all injured employees, a person or persons were not adequately trained to render first aid: At the remotely located test ranges, where the Gunners Shop, Building 3522, employees fired weapons  Employees adequately trained in first aid were not always available. Some of the test ranges were located up to one hour of travel time from emergency medical services. Employees have incurred amputation injuries on the test ranges while firing mortars. Employees were exposed to the hazard of being struck by the projectiles fired from the weapons on the test ranges.
