29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): When portable ladders are used for access to an upper landing surface, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder is used to gain access: (a) 13 Laurel Park Northampton: On or about March 18, 2014, two employees were observed using an aluminum extension ladder to access their roof top work location at this address that did not extend the required 3 FT past the roof surface, which is not in accordance with this subpart: Specific abatement documentation that this violation has been corrected must be provided within 10 days of the abatement in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d)(1).
