29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by ingoing nip points and rotating parts: On or about 10/30/13 at Augusta, GA: Employees were exposed to unguarded rotating parts while operating Printer/Former machines and Leak Testers at the facility. The employer failed to guard two openings on the operator's side of the Former machines. The first opening is 42 inches wide by 12 inches in height. The second opeinging is 100 inches long by 4 inches in height. All of the following Former machines have the identical machine guarding issues: a. Former #1 b. Former #2 c. Former #3 d. Former #4 e.
