29 CFR 1926.21(b)(2): The employer did not instruct each employee in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe condition(s) and the regulation(s) applicable to his work environment to control or eliminate any hazard(s) or other exposure to illness or injury: On or about June 22, 2013 workers were exposed to fall from elevation and struck by structural steel hazards while erecting building 6. The employer failed to train workers in the following hazards: a. Cross-bracing rods used in the braced bay were not all put in place. Cross bracing is essential to the building process and makes for a stable structure. b. All connections were not tightened. After the bay is erected and aligned, it is necessary to tighten all purlin, grid and flange brace connections.
