29 CFR 1910.134(h)(2)(i): Respirators were not stored to protect them from damage, contamination, dust, sunlight, extreme temperatures, excessive moisture, and damaging chemicals or were not packed or stored to prevent deformation of the facepiece and exhalation valve: a. Paint/Blasting booth: A blasting hood/respirator used by an employee was stored hanging on a hook in the blasting booth exposed to dust and blasting media with the air supply hose lying in the abrasive dust on the floor. The respirator was not protected from damage, contamination, or dust, as determined on 5/30/13. Martin Steel, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.134(h)(2)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 313372633, citation number 1, item number 1(c) and was affirmed as final order on 7/08/10, with respect to a workplace located at 603 16th Street West Huntington, WV 25704.
