29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch: (a) CONFER TRUCKING, MAINTENANCE GARAGE, BAY AREA - The Porter Cable PCB575BG bench grinder (S/N 010323) did not contain a tongue guard, thereby exposing employee(s) using the bench grinder to serious injuries, including but not limited to lacerations and eye injuries, on or about October 16, 2012. (b) CONFER TRUCKING, MAINTENANCE GARAGE, BACK GARAGE AREA - The SM TDS-200 Bench Grinder did not contain a tongue guard, thereby exposing employee(s) using the bench grinder to serious injuries, including but not limited to lacerations and eye injuries, on or about October 16, 2012. No abatement certification or documentation required.
