29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access. The employer does not ensure that ladder used by employee is extended 3 feet above the upper landing surface. This violation was observed at the construction site on or about August 01, 2012, where employee was exposed to a 9 foot fall hazard when using a ladder that was not extended 3 feet above the upper landing. Sanchez Sergio was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 329401 Citation Number 1, Item Number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 5/09/2012, with respect to a workplace located at 3215 Single Ridge Way, Katy, Texas 77449.
