29 CFR 1926.1403(a): The employer must ensure employee compliance with all applicable mamnfacturer prohibitions and follow either the manufacturer's procedures or develop procedures that meet the requirements of 1926.1406. On or about 4/20/12 the employer did not ensure that employees were following all applicable American 5299 crawler crane manufacturer procedures for unloading and asembly when removing crane boom sections for further assembly by additional personnel. Employees were thereby exposed to struck by and crushing hazards.
