29 CFR 1926.352(e): Additional personnel was not assigned to guard against fire while the actual, welding, cutting, or heating operations were being performed, and for a sufficient period of time after completion of the work to ensure that no possibility of fire exists. a) Worksite, Interior - An employee used a torch to heat a copper pipe while assembling a shower body located in the bathroom wall. The employee was working alone; on or about 04/11/12. Note: The employer is required to submit abatement certification for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.
