North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to crushing hazards: a)facility, service bay - employee(s) worked under, near, and adjacent to a single pedestal hydraulic automotive lift (no data available) which was not provided with markings to identify the manufacturer's name, rated load capacity, model, and serial number. b)facility, service bay - employee(s) worked under, near, and adjacent to a single pedestal hydraulic automotive lift (no data available) and a Vector Wheel Tronic, model 7144V, serial number T8-10008, 8,000 pound capacity, which were not provided with markings to identify the physical hazards in the work area. ABATEMENT NOTE: 1)Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct these hazards is to mark the physical hazards under and around the lift.
