Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: Date of Violation:On or About 01/12/12 Location:In Front of 450 William Street, Cumberland MD, at Curb Clean-Out Pipe Equipment:Vac-Con, Hot Shot Sewer Cleaner Truck, Model HS-1600 Condition:Employees operating a high pressure sewer flush truck were not effectively trained in the hazards of the truck and equipment and how to avoid them. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable means of abatement to correct this hazard is to use the manufacturer's safety manual procedures to provide employees with effective training. Abatement documentation (photographs, receipts, copies of programs, training certification, etc.) is required for this item.
