Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: Employees of Engineering Precast Corp. while worked in construction task were exposed to illnesses and injuries due that the employer failed to provide training, at least once a year, to his employee related to handled domestic violence in the workplace, as requiered by the Act for the implementation of a Protocol to Handle Domestic Violence Situation in the Workplace or Place of Employment Act No. 217 of september 29, 2006. The last training was provided in July 2, 2009, according to the employer records. Hazard: Employees exposed to domestic violence in the workplace One method among others to abate this hazard: The employer shall provide trainning to all establisment's employees related to handle domestic violence in the workplace for have knowledge and act if this situation is presented. The Women's Advocate Office will provide to the employer the necessary technical guidance for implementation of the protocol. Empleados de Engineering Precast Corp., mientras trabajaban en tareas de construction estaban expuestos a lesiones y enfermedades debido a que el patrono fallo cuando no proveyo adiestramiento, por lo menos una vez al ano, a su empleado relacionado al manejo de situaciones de Violencia Domestica en el lugar de trabajo, requerido bajo la Ley para la Implementacion del Protocolo de Situaciones de Violencia Domestica en el Lugar de Trabajo o Sitio de Empleo, Ley numero 217 del 29 de septiembre de 2006, y la Ley numero 16 del 5 de agosto de 1975 segun enmendada. El ultimo adiestramiento provisto fue el 2 de julio de 2009, de acuerdo al registro del patrono. Riesgo: Empleados expuestos a violencia domestica en el trabajo. Un metodo para disminuir el riesgo: El patrono tiene que proveer adiestramiento a todos los empleados del establecimiento relacionado con el manejo de situaciones de Violencia Domestica en el lugar de trabajo. La Oficina de la Procuradora de la Mujer provee a los patrono las guias necesarias para la implementacion del protocolo.
