P.L. 91-596 Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the struck-by hazard(s): a)Anodizing Line - on or about October 19, 2010, employees worked in and around the anodizing areas where they were exposed to struck-by hazards due to corroded ceiling and wall building components such as steel beam, sheeting, piping, etc. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard would be to ensure proper design and repair the ventilation systems. Remove, replace, or repair the corroded ceiling and wall building components such as metal sprinkler system pipes, brackets/hangers, light fixtures, wall sheeting, and steel members that supported the hoists. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION ARE REQUIRED.TION
