Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: At CB Imports Transamerica Corp dba Maxy Body located in Carolina, where the employees worked dispatching automibile parts, in the aisle #4, an employee was observed climbing and working on a gray portable rolling ladder of 12.5 feet of height with a broken middle guardrail in the upper level of the ladder. The employee was exposed to a fall hazard when he was permitted to climb up the portable rolling ladder. Among other methods, one acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to remove the damaged ladder until repair can be completed. Hazard: Fall En CB Imports Transamerica Corp dba Maxy Body localizado en Carolina, donde los empleados trabajaban despachando piezas para automoviles, en el pasillo #4, se observo un empleado trepandose y trabajando en una escalera portatil rodable color gris de 12.5 pies de altura con una baranda intermedia rota en el nivel superior de la escalera. El empleado estaba expuesto a riesgo de caida cuando se le permitio subir la escalera rodable portatil. Entre otros metodos, un metodo de correccion aceptable para corregir este riesgo es remover la escalera danada hasta que su reparacion pueda ser completada. Riesgo: Caida
