Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to inadvertent hoist movement: (a) Facility, New Castle Road, Butler, PA: On or about February 3, 2010, the pendant push buttons were not labeled on the five ton hoist located near the garage door. In addition, the bridge was not marked with the capacity of the hoist on either side. Among other feasible methods of abatement, one method would be to label the directional arrows of the pendant as specified in the American Society of Mechanical Engineers standards, ASME B30.16.2.3.3(d)(7). 0 y 0 <
