Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:07/10/08 Condition:Employees work with electrical equipment near and around swimming pools and other similar locations were not trained in the methods of protection from hazards associated with working with electrically powered equipment. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method is to train employees about the hazards associated with electrical equipment near and around swimming pools and similar locations and assure they are knowledgeable in the methods of protection in order to perform their work in a safe manner free from hazards associated with electricity. Abatement documentation (photographs, receipts, copies of programs, training certification, etc.) is required for this item.
