Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of falls from elevations and thermal burns: a) Clearfield County, Lawrence Township, Punxsutawney Hunting Club 3h Well - On or about February 3, 2009, the employer did not ensure that employees working from the Derrick "Monkey" Board of Rig #4, approx 25 ft above ground, were provided with an emergency escape (Geronimo Line) device in case of fire or well blow-out.
