North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a)Facility - jib cranes and hoists throughout the facility had no load test information that provided the load the cranes and hoists were able to lift. REFERENCE: ANSI B30.11-1980, paragraph 2.2.2. ABATEMENT NOTE: Among other abatement methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to have all of the hoists and cranes load tested and maintain a certificate of the load tests.icate
