Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment or a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to dust explosion, deflagration or other fire hazards: a) Mill Area: Plastic flex ducts connecting the Timesaver Speed Belt Sander and the Dewalt radial arm saw to the two Grizzly enclosureless dust collectors were not properly bonded and grounded, as observed on or about January 29, 2008. AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE METHOD TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS TO FOLLOW THE NFPA 664 AND THE MANUFACTURERS' INSTRUCTIONS FOR PNEUMATIC CONVEYANCE SYSTEMS. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
