Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recog nized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to emp loyees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de e mpleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: a. At the workplace of A.E.P. Centro Gub. de Ponce, Ave. Las Americas 2440. The employ er did not have a protocol to handle situations of domestic violence (physical, verbal, and emotional aggression and even murder) at the workplace. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazzard is to establish and implement a written protocol to manage situations of domesti c violence at the workplace as required by Act Number 217 of September 29, 2006. The protocol must include the following minimum requirements: A public policy s tatement,legal basis and applicability, responsabilities of the personnel, and u niform procedures and measures to be followed in order to handle the cases. It h as to be evalueted and certified by the Women's Advocate Office. a. En el lugar de trabajo de A.E.P. Centro Gub. de Ponce Ave. Las Americas 2440. El patrono no tenia un protocolo para manejar situaciones de violencia domestica en el lugar t he trabajo. Entre otros metodos, un metodo factible y aceptable para corregir es te riesgo es establecer e implementar un protocolo escrito para manejar situacio nes de violencia domestica en el lugar de trabajo como es requerido por la ley N umero 217 del 29 de Septiembre de 2006. El protocolo debera incluir los siguientes req uisitos minimos: declaracion de politica publica, base legal y aplicabilidad, re sponsabilidad del personal, y procedimiento y medidas uniformes a seguir en mane jos de casos. Este tendra que ser evaluado y certificado por la Oficina de la Pr ocuradora de las Mujeres.
