North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a)facility - where the employer did not have a certification record of inspections. One feasible abatement method, among many, is to implement an operator hoist inspection list before use and frequently throughout the year (in accordance with ANSI B30.11-1980) in order to prevent the wear, tear, and distortion or stretched links and damaged hooks.
