Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002 Hazard: LACKTRAIN
Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Construction Site: The Terex Aerial Scissor Lift, serial number 99360123 was not being operated by a fully qualified operator, exposing employees to overturning of the lift. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement methods to correct this hazard is: To comply with ANSI/SIA 92.6, paragraph 7.6 through 7.6.2, dated 1990. Insure the operator is fully trained in accordance with the manufacture's operating, maintenance manual and trained in the model of the aerial lift he/she will be operating and trainee records maintained by the user for at least three years.
