North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: Ref: ANSI B30.11-1980 - Periodic Inspections, Monorail Systems and Underhung cranes, Chapter 11-2, Inspection, Testing and Maintenance; Section 11-2.1.1(b)(2)(a) Periodic inspections shall be performed annually. Note:Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to ensure that the three underhung cranes are inspected periodically....
