Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to potential striking injuries from a drifting load: (a)ASF-Keystone - Employees used a Wright one ton hoist and the boom drifts if not tied to a piece of equipment, on or about March 4, 2005. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard includes repairing the hoist/boom, as outlined in the American National Standard Institute standard for Monorail Systems and Underhung Cranes (ANSI B30.11 - 1973).
