Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002 Hazard: CRUSHING
Section 5(A)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a) On or about 4/13/05, employees were exposed to crushing hazards in that the crane wheels were not guarded in a manner that would push a person away from the wheel. Among methods, one feasible and acceptable method to abate this hazard is to install personnel deflecting device guards on the wheels of the LHM 400 Leibherr Harbor Mobile Crane.
