Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to tipping and fall hazards from using a skid-steer as an elevated work platform: (a) For employees that were exposed to tipping and fall hazards while working in an elevated bucket of a skid-steer loader, located 11 miles east and 3 miles north of Crosby, ND, while performing maintenance in an oil field. Abatement Note: Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct the hazard would be to use a scaffold, ladder, or a portable stair platform to perform this work.
