Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002 Hazard: GUARDING
Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: Employees exposed to respiratory conditions due to there no a shelter place in rainny days. It was observed that in the school there no a place where the employees can shelter in rainny days during the work shifts of 3PM-11PM y 11PM-7AM. The Genesis Security Services employees were doing their tasks as security guards at the Lola Rodriguez de Tio School, located on calle 46B Final Valle Arriba Heights Carolina. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is leave open the state police booth. Empleados expuestos a condiciones respiratorias debido a que no hay un lugar donde guarecerse en dias de lluviosos. Se observo que en la escuela no hay un lugar donde los empleados puedan guarecerse en dias de lluviosos durante los turnos de trabajo de 3PM- 11PM y 11PM-7AM. Los empleados de Genesis Security Services realizaban sus tareas como guardias de seguridad en la Escuela Lola Rodriguez de Tio, localizado en la calle 46B Final Valle Arriba Heights Carolina. Entre otros metodos, un metodo apropiado y aceptable para corregir este riesgo es dejarle abierta la caseta del guardia estatal.
