Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employee(s) were exposed to serious fall hazards while climbing vertical frame members of the racks to gain access to the shelving in search of stock. Warehouse: Employees are exposed to serious injury while climbing the racks and walking on the shelves while searching for stock. One method, among other methods to correct the condition, is to purchase one set of 20 ft moveable stairs for each aisle in the warehouse, establish work rules, train employees, and enforce the work rules.e
