Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: a. Receive injuries due to door malfunction from cardboard compactor used by employees trademark CRAM-A-LOT, model #DL-46-LD, serial #DL00829-01. The machine was located in the warehouse area at the drugstore. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is not used the cardboard compacter until the deffect was correct. a. Recibir lesiones por malfuncionamiento de la puerta de apisonadora de carton usada por los empleados marca CRAM-A-LOT, modelo #DL-46-LD, serie #DL00829-01. La maquina estaba localizada en el area de almacen de la farmacia. Entre otros metodos, un metodo aceptable y posible de corregir este riesgo es no usar la apisonadora de carton hasta que el defecto haya sido corregido.
