Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to A FALL HAZARD: a)Infeed Department, on or about 3/11/04: The anchorage support beam used for the retractable lanyard fall arrest system had not been rated. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to: Certify the anchorage support beam in accordance with ANSI Z359.1-1992, Section 3.2.5.1. Abatement certification must be submitted for this item.
