North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a)generator room -- a ground pin had been removed from a power cord used to operate block heater for an A/C generator. NOTE:Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to abate this hazard is to install a block heater with a ground pin installed in the power cord. OR IN THE ALTERNATIVE: 29 CFR 1910.304(f)(4): The path to ground from circuits, equipment and enclosures shall be permanent and continuous.
