Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of falling from a man basket: On or about 01/15/02, at the south side of the grass test site, an employee was exposed to a fall hazard while working from a job-made work platform approximately 12 feet from the ground level without wearing fall arrest equipment. Among other methods of abatement, a feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to prohibit employees to work from unapproved accessories such as job-made work platforms not equipped with lanyard attachment points.
