ORS654.010: The employer did not furnish a place of employment which was safe and healthful for employees, and did not do every other thing reasonably necessary to protect the life, safety, and health of the employees: a) The employer did not furnish a safe and healthful work environment in that employees were required to use a forklift that was not properly designed and equipped to move rail cars. This practice was conducted at the Shipping Dept. ANSI standard, B56.1-1993, 4.14.5, page #7 prohibits the use of forklifts that are not specifically designed or equipped to move rail cars.
