North Carolina General Statue 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: a)facility, fresh water pump house - employees were allowed to work in a building that had a roof that was near collapsing as a result of deterioration from extended water damage. Employees worked in the building on an infrequent basis when they were required to perform maintenance activities on water pumping equipment. One feasible and acceptable abatement method, among others, to correct this hazard is to repair or demolish the building.
