Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees on 09/04/99: Hydro Unit: (a)The system for introducing water into the dryer from a fire hose through the trunnion of the dryer was not designed adequately to control and safely dispose of the contents of the dryer in the event of a possible decomposition; and, (b)The thermometers for the dryers were not calibrated as often as stated in the written procedures for the Hydro Unit. Hydro Unit: For the A/C system and the purafil system.
