North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to uninspected hoists: Complete inspections of the hoist was not performed at intervals defined in ANSI B30.16-1981 Chapter 16-2, article 16-2.1.1(b)(2). a)waste oil shelter - hoist was not provided an inspection prior to use or a periodic or frequent intervals thereafter. One feasible and acceptable means of abatement, among others, is to perform periodic inspections during the intervals indicated as stipulated in ANSI B30.16-1981, Article 16-2.1.3.81,
