North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: a)facility; staging - no frequent or periodic inspections have been performed for monorail system. Reference: ANSI B30.11 - 1980; paragraph 11-2.1.1 (a) "Prior to initial use, all new, altered, modified, or extensively repaired cranes and monorail systems shall be inspected...as per (b) inspections conducted on frequent and periodic basis." NOTE: Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to conduct frequent and periodic inspections on the monorail system.l
