Section 5(a)(1) of Public Law 91-596, the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to: the hazard of electric shock. (a)Hernando, MS -The following aerial devices were not dielectrically tested on at least an annual basis: i.Truck B8425 - Dielectric tests were not conducted in 1994, 1996 and 1997. ii.Truck B8529 - Dielectric tests were not conducted in 1994, 1996 and 1997. iii.Truck B8552 - Dielectric tests were not conducted in 1995, 1996 and 1997. iv.Truck B8665 - Dielectric tests were not conducted in 1994, 1996 and 1997. v.Truck B8723 - Dielectric tests were not conducted in 1994 and 1995. vi.Truck B8854 - Dielectric tests were not conducted in 1995, 1996 and 1997. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to perform dielectric test on all aerial devices on at least an annual basis.
