Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002 Hazard: CRUSHING
Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: a)Crush or Stroke by a steel rods; Employees worked in the installation of steel rods and the employer was not secured the ankle system safetly to prevent a collapse. Location: Road 423, Km. 2.4, Moca, San Sebastian Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is tie the system using rods in cross brazing. a)Aplastado o golpeado por varillas de acero; Empleados trabajaron en la instalacion de acero y el patrono no aseguro el sistema de anclaje seguramente para prevenir que se colapsara. Localizacion: Carretera 423, Km. 2.4, Moca, San Sebastian Entre otros metodos, un metodo factible y aceptable de correccion para este riesgo es amarrar el sistema utilizando varillas de forma cruzada."
