Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970. The employer did not provide employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards in that employees were subject to being struck by falling loads due to inadequate lifting devices. a.G-7-Y Area. Dual Permadux magnet had frayed electrical cord. (Item #2a) b.G-7-Y Area. Dual Permadux magnet had no capacity markings. (Item #2b) c.G-7-Y Area. "Little" Permadux magnet (44") had no capacity markings. (Item #2b) d.G-36-V Area. Merrill Brothers plate clamp had no marking for plate thickness capacities.
