29 CFR 1910.303(b)(7)(i): Unused openings in boxes, raceways, auxiliary gutters, cabinets, equipment cases, or housings shall be effectively closed to afford protection substantially equivalent to the wall of the equipment. PMC Northern Victor, Switch room: On or about February 26, 2026, and at times prior thereto, employee(s) were tasked to maintain circuit breaker panels. A (460/480) - volt circuit breaker panel had an unused opening, exposing the energized components inside the circuit breaker panel. This exposed employee(s) to electrical hazard(s).
