29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: a) Worksite Roof : On or about August 15, 2025, employees were accessing a porch roof approximately 15 feet above the ground using a 24 foot portable extension ladder. The ladder was approximately 3 inches above the landing surface. b) Worksite Roof : On or about August 15, 2025, an employee was accessing a porch roof approximately 11 feet above the lower porch roof using a Little Giant multi function ladder in the self supporting position. The ladder was approximately less than 3 feet below the landing surface.
