Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from liquid chemicals and battery acid: a) Warehouse: On September 16, 2025, for employee performing cleaning operations for the entire store, who are required to lift, move and pour cleaning chemicals into buckets and other cleaning equipment where it can splash, spray or drip on the employees' eyes. The employer did not ensure employees were provided with appropriate eye or face protection. b) PIT charging station: On September 16, 2025, for employees charging the PIT and who are required to maintain the battery which contains acid that can splash into the employees eyes. The employer did not ensure employees were provided with appropriate eye or face protection.
