29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i)(A): Authorized employee(s) did not receive training in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, the type and magnitude of the energy available in the workplace, and the methods and means necessary for energy isolate (a) Boric Acid Room: Between July 15, 2025 through July 31, 2025, the employer did not ensure employees who serviced equipment were trained as "authorized" employees. Employees performing die setting tasks on tablet press machines such as but not limited on the Asset#1435 Manu Stokes Tablet machine were not provided with the knowledge and skills needed for the safe application, usage, and removal of energy control. (b) Boric Acid Room: On August 25, 2025, the employer did not ensure employees who serviced equipment were trained as "authorized" employees. Employees performing cleaning tasks to dies during operation such as but not limited on the Asset#1435 Manu Stokes Tablet machine were not provided with the knowledge and skills needed for the safe application, usage, and removal of energy control. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
